MEET THE TEAM

Evan Alexander Scott, Ph.D.

evan.scott at northwestern.edu

Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering

Evan Scott joined the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Northwestern University as an assistant professor in September of 2013.  He used a foundation in biomaterials science from his PhD work at Washington University in St. Louis to rationally design novel nanomaterial-based vaccines during his postdoctoral research at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), one of the Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology.  He is currently a member of the Chemistry of Life Processes Institute (CLP), the Simpson Querrey Institute (SQI), the Interdisciplinary Biological Sciences Program (IBiS),  and the Biotechnology Training Program (BTP).  His work has been funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the National Science Foundation (NSF), and the American Heart Association (AHA). The immunoengineering-focused Scott Lab aims to develop novel strategies for vaccination and controlled immunomodulation.
